CONTROLLER
A RFS Controller is a proactive, disciplined, independent and results-oriented leader with 7+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years at a public accounting firm. Candidates will demonstrate strong leadership, communication, management, negotiation and technical competencies. Candidates also have a solid knowledge of GAAP, can manage multiple assignments under pressure and have an active CPA license.
RFS Controller candidates have experience in the following areas:
- Overseeing all financial operations
- Managing, training and mentoring multiple staff
- Overseeing A/P, A/R, payroll, FA and general ledger functions
- Analyzing billing, expenses and job costing
- Preparing financial statements and reviewing corporate tax returns
- Managing month-end closes
- Advising on forecasting, budgeting, accounting practices, tax management, regulatory compliance and the control environment
- Reconciling cash and the creation of cash requirement forecasts
- Providing strategic guidance
- Managing audit relationships
- Performing financial analysis of balance sheets and income statements
- Acting as a financial liaison with senior management
- Familiarity with accounting entries for prior-period adjustments, accruals, impairments and write-offs
- Consistent monitoring of internal controls to ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting
- Researching and resolving unidentified payments
Candidates will have experience in any of the following areas: government contracting and DCAA regulations, Sarbanes-Oxley, not-for-profit and grant accounting, preparation and review of SEC quarterly and annual filings
Software proficiencies in at least three of the following: Microsoft Office, Peachtree, Quickbooks, Deltek GCS Premier, PeopleSoft, Oracle Financial, Great Plains, Hyperion, SAP
